Nga Iwi is an original acrylic painting and a deeply personal declaration of identity — painted by Sheree Wills, who carries both Māori and Cook Island whakapapa in her own blood.

To be Māori is not something you put on and take off. It is who you are — all day, every day. In every breath, every decision, every connection to the people who came before you. Nga Iwi — the peoples, the tribes — is a celebration of that truth.

At the heart of the painting, the koru unfurls — the ancient Māori symbol of family, new life, and the continuity of generations. Beside it stands the coconut tree, the enduring symbol of the Pacific — provider, protector, and the living thread that connects Cook Island peoples to their land and sea.

Together, these symbols tell the story of two cultures, one whakapapa, and one woman who holds both with pride.

This painting is for those who know what it means to live their identity — not as a label, but as a way of being.

Original acrylic on canvas — 50 x 50 x 2 cm. One of a kind.
